Other Works of the Congregation

During the school year, the priests and seminarians travel to the schools to assist with their days of recollection.  The students spend the day in prayer, silence, and reflection.  The members of the Congregation give the students spiritual conferences to assist them in the practice of virtue and to help them grow in holiness.  The priests also give days of recollection for adults at various chapels throughout the year.

Each year the Congregation hosts a retreat for men and one for boys.  This is an opportunity for the faithful to withdraw from the world for a short time in order to examine their spiritual life.

An important work of our Congregation is teaching catechism to children.  Several times a month during the school year, some seminarians travel with a priest to certain missions to help prepare the children to receive their first Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation.  In some chapels, the priests conduct catechism classes for adults to further their knowledge of the faith.

During the summer the priests travel to various chapels throughout the country to assist with the Daughters of Mary summer catechism program.  The priests offer daily Mass, hear confessions, visit the classrooms, have recess with the children, give conferences, and help with various other activities for the children and adults.
